An exchange meeting was held on the occasion of the debut of Neamatullah Foundation in Shikarpur of Burichang Upazilla of Cumilla District on Saturday 28th January. Established in the memory of Cumilla’s famous lawyer Advocate Neamatullah, this foundation has been running various charitable institutions including schools, colleges, madrasas in Shikarpur area for many years.
Haji Md. Billal Hossain, chairman of Sholanal Union Parishad No. 4, was the chief guest at this exchange meeting held at Burichang Shikarpur Paschimpara Neamat Government Primary School, founded by Advocate Neamatullah. Engineer Mehedi Hasan Emon, son of advocate Late Neamatullah, presided over the meeting, among others, the dignitaries of the area and Saima Emon, daughter-in-law of late Neamatullah, spoke at the meeting. In the meeting, the speakers expressed hope that the philanthropic work of the area will continue through Neamatullah Foundation. Chairman Haji Md. Billal Hossain said that the late Advocate Neamatullah has won a place in the hearts of people through his work life and various public welfare works including mosques, madrasas, schools and colleges he established. Engineer Mehedi Hasan Emon Neamatullah presented the future plans of the foundation and sought everyone’s cooperation in this.
